I am a certified nurse psychotherapist and mental health nurse. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and I also use components of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to help people manage intense emotions and suicidal thoughts. I have experience working with students and adults with complex mental health histories. I also work with people experiencing relationship issues, school/ professional challenges, life transitions, grief, trauma and suicidal ideation. As a nurse, I incorporate health promotion into my practice including nutrition, sleep and exercise because there is such a great connection between physical health and mental health.
I use a trauma-informed and culturally adaptive lens so you can feel safe sharing your story. Together, we can identify your goals, and think about a course of treatment, based on your history and experience that can help you meet these goals. Please email me or call me to set up a free phone call so we can determine if working with me could help.

Everything we experience impacts both our mind & body. Unfortunately, more often than not we end up living in our head as a result of things like stress & anxiety. While our mind can be an insightful place, it can also be isolating if we spend too much time there. The irony in this default pattern is that our bodies are incredibly reliable sources that provide us with valuable information. They have the ability to warn & inform us of our triggers, boundaries, perceptions & fears. “What the mind suppresses, the body expresses.” By listening to both, you can begin to understand yourself in a deeper capacity.
As a psychotherapist & yoga teacher, I work from a holistic lens integrating techniques for both mind & body to find what uniquely works best for you. Through a collaborative process, my goal is to help you connect to your truest self. This comes from learning how to be grounded and present so that you can heal from whatever is holding you back.
I understand this step can be overwhelming for many. I am incredibly passionate about the work I do and am here to make you feel as comfortable and supported as I can. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’d be a good fit. Please feel free to reach out. I’d love to begin this new chapter with you!

I believe each person has the power within themselves to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. By working through the day-to-day struggles of life, I would love to support and guide you on this journey to find understanding and balance. As we collaborate, we can integrate your experiences, needs, and values, while focusing on creating the changes you would like to see. Thank you for possibly giving me the chance to support you. I bring over 20yrs experience and am highly intuitive as a culturally sensitive therapist. For many years I worked in the public sector offering therapeutic support to individuals, couples and families, with mild to severe mental health and substance use challenges. I was honored to participate in the
development of community mental health programs and find creative ways of increasing mental health access. Transitioning to the private sector was amazing. I’ve gotten the opportunity to offer my knowledge of the public health system while connecting with people using a variety of therapeutic modalities and at a pace that is unique to each person. I work with youth and adults ages 16 and over individually, as a couple or family on challenges including but not limited to depression, anxiety, mood and personality disorders, interpersonal conflict, parenting and stress related to life transitions. I have a particular interest in trauma, grief and substance use addiction challenges. And I am a BIPOC woman and mother with a deeper understanding of the nuances and complexities of everyday events of others with a similar experience. I am NIHB approved and an ally of many communities including Aboriginal and LGBTQAI2S+. Some of the therapeutic techniques I use with individuals includes Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness. When working with couples we collaborate using EFT to enhance attachment and connection. We may also use Gottman Method to manage conflict and increase problem solving, and strength-based approaches to utilize positive aspects of the relationship to have a more balanced perspective.
I am an approved provider for many insurance plans as a Registered Psychotherapist, and available for short-term and long-term therapy. If you are interested in working together, please connect with me. I offer an initial free consultation. An hour of psychotherapy is $170. Couple/family sessions are $200. Some sliding fee scale is available.
