About Me
Taking the first steps into therapy can be both challenging and empowering, and I am here to provide guidance and support as you embark on this transformative journey.
My name is Amandine and I am a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). As a first-generation immigrant with various intersecting identities, I have lived experience of the challenges that arise from navigating power dynamics and systems of oppression. With this understanding, I am able to offer you a compassionate and authentic perspective, ensuring that your unique experiences are recognized and validated. My goal in my practice is to create a safe and inclusive space for everyone, especially for those who have faced marginalization and exclusion. I deeply believe that each person deserves a safe and nurturing environment to begin their journey of healing and personal growth. I approach therapy from an anti-oppressive, anti-racism, and socially just framework and I am dedicated to respecting and valuing your unique identity and lived experiences. Recognizing that each person is different, I tailor and integrate approaches from various modalities, such as cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, psychodynamic, somatic and mindfulness theories to meet your specific needs and goals. You are the expert of your own life and my role is to help you embrace your true and authentic self with compassion and understanding.
