About Me
Whatever comes up during our sessions, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have been a witness to it, and I can tell you it is healing. The important element in my sessions is that we have trust and a connection to work together. That is why I offer no-charge consultations, so we can establish this when we first speak. Following both modern therapeutic methods as well as more global and Indigenous modalities, I guide others to un-cover what they come to know. During our sessions, as we discover more about you, this information informs me to choose the best approach/method that will guide you while you uncover your truth. The focus of the healing process is the restoration of relationships that have become out of balance. As a therapist, one is a supporter in a shared experience of learning and growing, with assessments usually being completed by the person being helped. I use questions, storytelling, humour, modelling, somatic modalities, parts therapy, and other proven methods to raise your awareness of your wholeness and interrelationships within life. When called, I use the healing power of hypnosis for connecting within ourselves: spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional. I use a two-eyed approach of both modern and Indigenous knowledge as much as possible during our sessions.
I work online with the exception of psychedelic assisted therapy, which is done either in one of my partner clinics, located in Calgary, Edmonton, London, and Toronto (Woodbridge and Vaughn), or at one of my partner retreat centres in Jamaica or the Netherlands.
In my private practice, I work one-to-one, in groups, and online with clients from all over the world, guiding others to un-cover possibilities and paths to life. In terms of my recognized titles, I am a Counselling Therapist with the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta, a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, and a Counselling Hypnotherapist. In terms of memberships, I am a Member of the Psychodynamic Association of Canada as well as the current Board President, a Senior Member of the ACCPH UK, a member of the Society for Shamanic Practice, and a Member of the Psychedelic Association of Canada. I am also a member of different committees and advisory boards when able, such as the MAPS Canada SAP Coop Committee.
When asked, I will step into being a helper during ritual, ceremony, or other. I am in gratitude to the Balinese and Cree knowledge keepers that have mentored me, guided me, and protected me as I learned what I can and cannot do. I do not presume to represent these lineages beyond permissions extended by my teachers. With respect and appreciation, I often gather on territory of the Syilx People of the Okanagan Nation, on traditional Coast Salish territory known as Greater Vancouver/Fraser Valley, on traditional Anishinaabe Algonquin territory known as the National Capital Region, and on the land of the Seminole in Florida. I also acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge, laws, and philosophies of the Indigenous Peoples with whom I also share land with during my work. We are all people with a responsibility to honour all our relations, for all that we have as a result of so many sacrifices and hardships endured by those who came before us.
